Ropeways

Agudio ropeways, the evolution of the species

Agudio material ropeways represent the cutting edge of technology in the industry. These are fully automated systems that do not require personnel for loading and unloading operations and guarantee the highest level of performance.

Agudio is able to design new cableways or revamp existing ones to increase their level of automation and achieve the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Single and double rope systems

Single and double rope systems

Depending on the capacity and routing, Agudio is able to design material ropeways with a single track-hauling rope or bi-cable ropeways where a track rope supports the buckets and a hauling rope controls their movement, thus being able to design spans longer than 1500 meters.

Material loading

Material loading

Loading of the material inside the buckets can vary depending on material caracteristics and ropeway capacity. For low-capacity ropeways, a fixed loading system can be used, while for higher-capacity ropeways, a rotating feeder is commonly used.

Material offloading

Material offloading

The shape of the bucket and the unloading of the material depend on the characteristics of the material itself. The material can be unloaded through the bottom of the bucket or by tipping the entire bucket; after unloading, a bucket cleaning system can be provided, as well as a storage and washing system.

Synchronization

Synchronization

The main feature of Agudio ropeways is the high level of automation, a mix of hardware and software that allows the system's capacity to be varied simply by adjusting the speed of the haul rope, with automatic synchronization of all operations within the stations.

A new cableway to transport apple bins in both directions between the collection center and the access tunnel to the underground storage rooms, the natural cold storage rooms where the apples are stored after harvest. In addition to the cableway, an automatic fork for loading and unloading the bins has been installed, as well as roller conveyors and a 30 m high elevator to reach the upper level of the underground storage rooms.
