On rails
Funiculars are a reliable and safe means of transport, able to operate in any weather conditions such as snow, ice, and strong winds, which is why they are often used alongside penstocks in hydroelectric plants.
This type of system offers a wide range of customization options: the ability to design lines with variable climbing angles, the ability to make horizontal curves, the possibility of having hybrid people-material vehicles, the possibility of being installed completely safely inside tunnels.
On ropes
Cableways are commonly used in the mountains to transport people. However, these systems can also be the ideal solution for transporting materials to sites that are difficult to access by land.
Hybrid cableways can be designed with one or two cabins and with the option of replacing the cabin with a basket or winch for transporting bulk materials or single loads.
