The cablecrane has been in operation since 2021 and is playing a strategic role in optimizing construction operations for the Koysha hydroelectric power plant in southwestern Ethiopia. The cablecrane has now exceeded 5,000 hours of operation and will remain in operation until the dam is completed, which is scheduled for 2029.
For the construction of this impressive project, Webuild, the leading Italian construction company, once again relied on AGUDIO for the design and construction of a 35-ton radial cable crane with a 45-meter tower and a 235-meter ground runway, a travel speed of 6 m/s and a lifting speed of 2.5 m/s.
