FUNICULAR RAILWAYS

Comfort has reached a high standard thanks to pneumatic car suspensions and new rail fastening methods capable of cutting the noise induced by passing cars by 50%.

Modern funiculars adopt automatic control systems and programmed runs with or without intermediate stops.

The solutions created for public transport have once again spurred the adoption of funicular railways for transporting tourists in high mountain resorts. The new systems may be routed in tunnels to preserve the surrounding environment and to maximise the area devoted to skiing slopes, while ensuring top hourly capacity rates.
